Sikupilli Prisma becomes Coop Peremarket as the Coop–Prisma merger reaches hypermarkets
Tallinn's Sikupilli Prisma is the first Prisma hypermarket to join Coop's store network. The other four hypermarkets will switch to the Coop name by November.

The merger of the Coop and Prisma chains reached a new stage in Tallinn on Tuesday when Sikupilli Prisma became Coop Peremarket, the first Prisma hypermarket to join Coop's network. According to ERR News, Sikupilli is the first of five hypermarkets that will continue under the Coop name.
Open around the clock, the store has a sales area of 6,666 square metres, making it one of Tallinn's largest grocery stores. It is Coop Harju's 33rd store and its third in Tallinn. Kadri Aguraiuja, chair of Coop Harju's management board, says the Sikupilli opening starts a new chapter for Coop: although it is Estonia's largest retail chain, it has never had stores as large as the Prisma hypermarkets.
The first four Prisma stores to join Coop were similar in size to existing Coop stores. With Sikupilli converted, more than half of the Prisma stores in Tallinn and Harju County have joined Coop.
Kristiine Prisma is next, reopening as a Coop at noon on 6 October. The remaining three Harju County stores follow: Rocca al Mare on 13 October, Tähesaju on 20 October and Mustika on 27 October. The stores in Rapla, Tartu and Narva join in November.
After the Prisma stores join, Coop Harju's revenue will exceed €300 million, ERR News reports, placing it among Estonia's largest retail companies.
According to the business register, Harju Tarbijate Ühistu had revenue of €159.2 million in 2025, a profit of €5.0 million and 580 employees. Coop Eesti Keskühistu had revenue of €548.7 million and a profit of €11.5 million in the same year.
